Fortune Dog

In Chinese tradition,
the Dog is valued not only as a loyal companion,
but also as a guardian of the home.

For generations, dogs have watched over courtyards, accompanied families,
and shared everyday life with the people around them.
Because of this close relationship, they became symbols of protection,
trust, and lasting companionship.

In folk culture,
dogs are also associated with blessings and prosperity.
Expressions such as Wang Cai (旺财, “bringing prosperity”)
and Lai Fu (来福, “welcoming good fortune”) reflect the hope that
a household will be safe, flourishing, and filled with happiness.
