Overview
Little Rocking Horse (千里馬) is the 2026 edition of the Jidanwawa Zodiac Collection.
Inspired by the spirit of movement, endurance, and setting out on a journey, its original pattern is screen-printed on cotton-linen fabric and finished by hand.
Each piece is made in small batches. Slight variations in printing, stitching, and shape are a natural part of the handmade process.
Story
The horse has long been associated with movement, strength, and the wish to travel far.
For Little Rocking Horse, these ideas were translated into a small rocking form — a horse made not simply to stand still, but to carry a sense of setting out.
Details in the printed pattern draw from historical Chinese horse imagery, while the finished doll keeps the simple, playful character of a handmade folk toy.
The full story behind Little Rocking Horse can be found in the Jidanwawa Journal.
